Clarkstown Class of 1965
Petition - Doctor Edward (Doc) Carney Music Room
During our class reunion last August, we visited the (North) High School; we found that a new wing that connects the Main Building with the Annex had just been opened. In that wing is a new, acoustically designed Music Room. I (Harry Geist) proposed that the room be named in memory of our music teacher, Doc Carney. Those who heard me were in agreement that this would be an appropriate honor.
One of the requirements of the school district for this proposal to be considered is a petition signed by 200 residents of the Clarkstown Central School District supporting the naming of the room. Attached to this page is a petition, stored as a PDF. If you are a Clarkstown resident, please print and sign the petition and return it to: Harry Geist, P.O. Box 9191, Bardonia, NY 10954. If you can get neighbors and friends to sign the petition, that would be great!.
If you are not a Clarkstown resident but wish to express support for this proposal, please send an email with your recommendation to or send a written note to Harry Geist at the address above.
